Garden
The crowning jewel of Palazzo Nani Bernardo is undoubtedly its Italian-style garden, one of the largest private gardens in all of Venice. Climbing roses, jasmine, bignonias, and pittosporum adorn the boundary wall on Calle Bernardo, offering a variety of colors and scents. At the far end, you’ll find a small vegetable garden and a grove of hornbeams and yews on a hillock, which once housed an ice house. These features create a visual barrier that shields the garden from the surrounding buildings and gives the illusion of a natural landscape extending beyond, contrasting with the bustling movement of Venetians, tourists, and students in the vicinity.
Second noble floor
With its own private entrance, these spaces can host dinners, concerts, and cocktails. A long central corridor provides access to smaller side salons, which are interconnected. The layout offers flexibility in using the spaces, allowing them to be separated or combined as needed. There is also the Palazzo’s fully equipped kitchen, which has its own service entrance that leads directly to the private street with access to the dock.
Ground Floor
Two entrances provide access to the Palazzo: one from land via Calle San Bernardo and the other from the water on the Grand Canal. The water entrance features a fixed dock where gondolas, water taxis, and boats up to 20 meters long can dock. In the Palazzo’s side entrance hall, a dance area can be set up. There is also a space designated for a cloakroom or storage.
